Finding your Assignments

This short video can help a student get started with their assignments in CANVAS:

There are several different ways to locate assignments in Canvas. (Modules, Course Navigation, Sidebar, and Calendar)

You have the ability to see these assignments both for an individual class and for all the classes you are taking.

The different ways to view your assignments are listed below: 

Modules: If your instructor is using Modules, you will see assignments listed within each.

Course Navigation: If you see Assignments in the course navigation area, you can view all assignments for the course there. They are broken down into Overdue Assignments, Upcoming Assignments, Undated Assignments, and Past Assignments. They can be sorted by Date or Type and are searchable.

Sidebar: Depending on where you are within your course you will see upcoming assignments or a to do list on the righthand sidebar.

Calendar: When you view your calendar in Canvas it will have all of your assignments listed and color-coded by class.
